Cookies
1. About This Page
This page explains how Helper Agent uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (helperagent.com). It supplements, and should be read alongside, our Privacy Policy — in particular Section 6 (Cookies & Tracking), Section 8 (Analytics & Advertising Partners), and Section 14 (California Privacy Rights).
A note on scope. This page covers cookies on Helper Agent’s own website, where we act as the data controller. It does not govern cookies or tracking on an AI agent that one of our customers has deployed on their own website — for those, the customer is the controller, and their own cookie and privacy notices apply.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit. They let a site remember things like your sign-in session, your preferences, and how the site is being used. Some cookies are set by us directly (first-party); others are set by third-party services we use, such as analytics and advertising partners (third-party). Cookies may last only for your browser session or persist across visits.
3. How We Manage Cookies
We use Cookie-Script, a Google-certified consent management platform, to disclose the cookies on our site and to give you controls over them. When you visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline categories of cookies and reopen your choices at any time. Cookie-Script also scans our site regularly and maintains an up-to-date declaration of every cookie in use.
4. The Cookies We Use
We group cookies into the same categories described in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy:
- Essential cookies (session) — required for authentication and core functionality. These are always active and can’t be switched off, because the site can’t work properly without them.
- Policy-acceptance cookies (persistent) — remember that you’ve made a cookie choice, so you’re not asked on every page.
- Functionality cookies (persistent) — remember your preferences and settings to personalize your experience.
- Tracking and performance cookies (third-party, persistent) — help us understand how visitors use our website, via Google Analytics.
- Targeting and advertising cookies (third-party, persistent) — used to deliver advertisements relevant to your interests and to measure campaign effectiveness, via partners such as Google AdSense/DoubleClick and Meta.
Cookie-Script’s banner may present these under its own group headings (such as “necessary,” “functionality,” “statistics,” and “marketing”); the categories above are how we describe the same cookies in our Privacy Policy.
5. How Cookies Are Controlled
Essential cookies load automatically so the site can function. You can accept or decline non-essential categories through our cookie banner, and you can reopen the banner at any time from the cookie/consent icon to change or withdraw your choices. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because some third-party analytics and advertising tags on our site are managed through Google Tag Manager, we recommend using the partner opt-out links in Section 8 of our Privacy Policy alongside the banner controls to fully limit those cookies. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may stop working.
6. Third-Party & Advertising Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services integrated into our site, including Google Analytics, Google AdSense/DoubleClick, and Meta. Each partner’s use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy. You can opt out of these partners individually using the links in Section 8 of our Privacy Policy, including the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, Google Ads Settings, Facebook Ad Preferences, and the NAI and DAA opt-out platforms.
7. California Residents
As explained in Section 14 of our Privacy Policy, our use of third-party advertising and analytics cookies may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. You have the right to opt out at any time using our cookie banner controls, the partner opt-out platforms in Section 8, or a browser-based opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control.
8. Full Cookie Declaration
Cookie-Script automatically scans helperagent.com and keeps a current list of every cookie in use — including its name, provider, purpose, and duration. You can view the current declaration in the consent panel by clicking the cookie icon and opening the cookie details.
9. Changes to This Page
We may update this page as our site, our partners, or applicable law change. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
